Day 2 of Spring Break:
Christian went to spend the night with a friend last night so Connor slept in this morning until 9:30! Wow! Since he was sleeping and I was up, I decided to go ahead and do my workout for the day. One of Connor's favorite things to do is to dress up and pretend to be animals, pirates, super heroes, etc. He decided to be a lion this morning after he got up and had his breakfast. He has been busy playing all morning and afternoon, but he really wants his big brother to get home! We are about to be heading to the dentist for a cleaning and check up and then home to play some more before Christian's ball practice tonight.

Spring Break 2010 - Day 1

The boys are out of school this week for Spring Break so we have decided to keep ourselves busy with daily activities! Today we went to see How to Train a Dragon at Celebrity with Toni and her boys. It was a cute movie and the boys had a blast!

My First Senior Session

I have just completed my first Senior Portrait Session of 2010! I had a great young man to work with. He was very laid back and did whatever I asked of him. His mom has done a wonderful job raising him and I see a very bright future in store for this guy. I have chosen a couple of my favorites from the session so far. Enjoy!

Whew....2009 is over and 2010 has begun! I am excited to start the new year and experience all the exciting things God has in store for me and my family! I have been busy these last two months with photo sessions and getting people's orders in for Christmas. I had many clients who were giving pictures as gifts so I couldn't post the pictures after the sessions in case the intended gift receivers happened to get on my blog! So, I am going to include a couple of my favorites from each session now! I wish you all the best in the year to come and may LOVE, PEACE, and JOY surround you in 2010.

Okay...I am trying to improve my blog! I think I am getting there, but still have more to learn and do to it! I have two photo sessions this afternoon and can't wait to get there and get busy! It was very FOGGY when I got up at 5:30am this morning and I was watching the weather constantly hoping for the clouds to part and the sun to come out! I got my prayer answered and we have blue skies and sun now! I will post pics as soon as I get them shot and edited!!

Here is my entry for iheartfaces.com "Pink Week." I had such a blast photographing this little girl. She has such a cute, spunky spirit (just like her mom). This is just a random shot I took of her as she was playing in her mom's sunglasses. I was letting her take a break and play around before the last part of our session and I got some really cute shots of her during this time!

Here is a sample of the wedding pictures from this weekend. I tagged along with Toni to a wedding in Creekwood Gardens. It was a beautiful setting, but hard to get around quickly to get good shots! And, I was having lighting issues with my camera and flash. I am ready for my new camera and equipment to get here so I can start learning more!!

Well, my youngest son started Pre-K today. It is bittersweet for me, but as you can tell by his "H-A-P-P-Y" face, he was excited to go! I barely had time to snap a few pictures of him because he was so ready to go to school. Today was "Bring your favorite teddy bear" day too, so he wanted to show off his bear named Beary. Pretty creative name, huh? ; )

Fix It Friday September 4th

This is the original photo for Fix It Friday at iheartfaces.com. He is such a cute little guy! In my edited picture below, I first of all brightened the picture quite a bit. This brought out all the noise so I did a "noise reduction" after that. I then decided to "bloom" it a little which brightened it up even more! Next, I deepened it and altered the contrast a bit. I sharpened it, added Vignetting on opposite corners and a little around the edges, and framed it in black to get the final product.

This week's theme for the iheartfaces.com photo contest is "Nostalgia." I picked this picture of my son playing at the pond as my entry. He was so cute that day just running around, skipping rocks across the pond, chasing his brother, climbing dirt mounds, and picking flowers (weeds) for me! This reminded me of when I was younger and used to spend a lot of time out in the pasture, by the pond, or down by the creek at my friend's parent's dairy farm. We had such great times out there. Yes, we were girls, but that didn't matter....we were getting dirty and making memories to last a lifetime! I wish I had pictures of those days to look back on now.

I got this snapshot at a friend's birthday get-together this past weekend. My kids love to play with bubbles, but I don't have a single shot of them with bubbles! This little guy was so intrigued by the bubbles I just had to get a shot of him!

I had planned on taking pictures today since it was so beautiful and sunny outside, but my plans got put on the back burner. Our day started off with my 4 year old's first visit to the dentist! He did wonderful and got an excellent exam so that went well for us. We (hubby, 8 yr. old son, 4 yr. old son and I) went to lunch together at a local restaurant and had a good lunch. The boys and I went to the library to return books and movies and let my oldest read two more of the required books for second grade. I then got the notion to go ahead and try to finish uniform shopping for my youngest. He needed more shorts for school. So, we head to the mall (35 minutes away) to the try to find some. Long story short....after going in and out of 5 different stores, none of which had his size, we stop at one more outside the mall. No luck there either! So, after 6 tries, I have reached a frustration level of 10! We stop for a quick ice cream (and Diet Coke for me) snack to refull before going home. On the way home, I decided to try one more store. I didn't want to have wasted a whole afternoon shopping for something and come home with absolutely nothing! We get there, park, unload, and in my attempt to get the ice cream cups out of the car to throw away - I LOCK my keys in the car! I have to call OnStar to unlock the car...thank goodness for OnStar! We finally make it into the store and look around for 5 minutes before I finally find the type of shorts he needs and see they only have 2 pair left in his size! We try them on just to make sure they fit and head to the register. Oh wait...he has to go to the bathroom now, so we make a quick stop (at least they had one in the store). Whew...now he has a pair of shorts for each day of the week in case I get behind on laundry (like I normally do). Okay...it's now 4:30pm and we head back home and make a quick stop at McDonald's for supper since my hubby has card night tonight. After supper, I gave the boys a bath, checked email, paid bills, and am now writing this blog! So, no pictures were taken today, but there is still hope for tomorrow!
